Still Here

Ink logo with a blue Merrimack River beneath the lettering

For the girl i grew up loving

I see the weight you carry

Just in the slope of your shoulders

The way your face holds the past

As if it’s still happening

You don’t need to speak for me to hear you

I’ve learned to read the pauses

The flinches, the far off stares

You’ve told me more in silence

Then words ever could

So next time you want to hide

Just know I’m still listening

Even when your saying nothing at all.
